A special report by Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism has documented a significant wave of pro-Palestinian protests and solidarity events worldwide, coinciding with the anniversary of the October 7th attacks. The report identified 262 such events across 37 countries, scheduled to take place between October 1st and October 14th, 2026. Of these, 87 events are classified as posing a medium or high risk.

The peak of this protest activity is expected on the weekend of October 10th and 11th, which will host 121 events, representing 46% of the total. October 10th alone is slated for 96 events, while October 7th itself has 75 identified events. The ministry suggests this concentration on the weekend is intended to maximize participation and media exposure.

The United States leads the count with 45 planned protests, followed by Spain with 40. Other countries with notable numbers include Australia (21), the United Kingdom (19), Italy (16), Germany (14), Canada (14), France (10), and the Netherlands (8).

High-risk protest locations have been identified in Canada (four events), Greece, Italy, the United States, and Australia (two each). Specific cities mentioned as focal points include Barcelona, Bogota, Paris, Istanbul, Bangkok, Santiago, London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Approximately 45 of the total events are expected to occur near Israeli embassies, consulates, or properties. Thirty of these are situated within 2.5 kilometers of such locations. Examples include protests in Amsterdam's Dam Square, near the embassy in Helsinki, at Parliament Hill in Ottawa near the embassy, and in Frankfurt near a hotel hosting Israeli visitors, as well as events in Italy close to Israeli assets.
