A new transportation complex, part of the fast lane project, was launched on Sunday in Rishon Lezion. The Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, the Ministry of Finance, Ayalon Highways, and Netiv Le'ir company inaugurated the facility, which is located in western Rishon Lezion. This new hub is intended to provide residents of the Shfela and southern regions of Israel with quick and easy access to business and entertainment centers in Tel Aviv-Yafo, free of charge.
Four distinct public transportation lines will operate from the complex, utilizing a dedicated lane designed to bypass traffic congestion. These lines will offer convenient and rapid travel to Tel Aviv-Yafo's commercial, employment, and leisure hubs. During peak hours, buses will depart every five minutes, and during off-peak hours, every fifteen minutes. The routes are numbered 861 (Kirya, Sarona, Azrieli Center), 862 (Bursa area, Savidor), 863 (Begin-HaMesila), and 864 (Yigal Allon).
The Rishon Lezion transportation hub also features extensive parking facilities, with approximately 3,500 parking spaces available. Additionally, it includes 350 charging stations for electric vehicles and 500 bicycle parking spots, catering to cyclists who can reach the complex via a specially constructed bike path.
