Israeli airline Arkia announced a rare overnight promotion, offering 50% off flights to many destinations in Europe and the Mediterranean. The sale, called "White Night," runs only from midnight until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday and applies to outbound and return flights through the end of June.
The discount covers most of Arkia’s European and Mediterranean network, including London, Rome, Amsterdam, Budapest, Athens, the Greek islands, Montenegro, Barcelona, Prague and Tirana. Long-haul and transatlantic destinations are excluded. Arkia said the offer will be available only on its website, not through its call center or travel agents.
At the same time, Spanish carrier Air Europa said it will restart its Tel Aviv-Madrid service on June 29, after suspending flights to Israel because of the security situation. To mark the return, the airline is selling introductory fares starting at $264 one way in economy and $787 one way in business class.
Air Europa will operate the route with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft at a frequency of four weekly flights. The airline said the Madrid link gives passengers onward connections to many destinations in Spain, Europe and South America through its network. It added that the promotional fares are limited-time offers and subject to seat availability.
