During the Sukkot holiday and the intermediate days of Chol HaMoed, Israeli military forces conducted operations in Judea and Samaria aimed at thwarting terrorist activities. The 931st Battalion and the Maglan unit, under the command of the Samaria Brigade, carried out arrests of wanted individuals, interrogated suspects, and confiscated weapons and equipment used for terrorism, according to the IDF spokesperson. Overnight operations in Balata and the Kasbah of Nablus resulted in the detention of six terrorists, including a Hamas operative. In total, approximately 50 terrorists were apprehended, including a terrorist cell. During one operation, an armed militant who attempted to throw an explosive device at soldiers was wounded. Additionally, a significant amount of military equipment, including several drones, was seized. Alongside these counter-terrorism efforts, IDF forces also ensured the security of hundreds of thousands of tourists visiting various sites throughout Judea and Samaria during the holiday period.
