Hezbollah said Israeli army strikes in southern Lebanon were a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement. The group issued the statement after the reported attack in the area.
According to Hezbollah, at 11:30 a.m. the “Israeli enemy” opened fire from among houses at a group of civilians in the Deir Ba al-Nehya neighborhood. It said the civilians were clearing roads and recovering bodies from under the rubble.
Hezbollah said the attack killed two civilians and wounded others. One of the dead was a municipal worker, according to the statement. The group presented the incident as another breach of the ceasefire and blamed Israel for the casualties.
