Israel to Launch Repatriation Flights from UAE Amid Security Approvals

Israeli airlines will begin operating "repatriation flights" from the United Arab Emirates starting tomorrow, following final security approvals, the Ministry of Transportation announced. These flights are intended to bring Israelis back to the country.

Simultaneously, an urgent request was made to increase the number of Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi to Israel. This initiative is being undertaken under the directive of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and at the request of Transportation Minister Miri Regev.

To facilitate these flights, an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Finance for the state to compensate Israeli airlines for flying empty to the Emirates. Consequently, the airlines are obligated to maintain fair pricing and not exploit the situation.
