Nate Buzzulis Injured on Dancing with the Stars, Fate on Show in Doubt
Australian actor and prominent pro-Israel advocate Nate Buzzulis was injured during rehearsals for Israel's "Dancing with the Stars" and may now be eliminated from the competition. After medical treatment, the team that examined him ordered rest and said he must stop rehearsing to recover.
Under the international format's rules, each contestant may miss only one dance during the season. Because of that limit, his continued participation is now uncertain.
The development comes after another contestant, actress and social media star Shahar Hion, was forced out of the show in Monday night's episode after also getting hurt in rehearsals. Medical staff decided she could not continue. She had been competing with dancer Matanal Konvenski.
Buzzulis, who starred in "The Vampire Diaries," has become one of Israel's most vocal supporters abroad and was one of the Independence Day torch lighters two years ago. In the current Israeli edition of the dance reality show, he is partnered with dancer Julia Shahar, who won the competition two seasons ago with actor Dor Harari.
