Amir Banai Injured During 'Dancing with the Stars' Rehearsal, Receives Medical Treatment

Amir Banai, son of comedian Orna Banai and a leading contestant on the Israeli show "Dancing with the Stars" (Keshet 12), sustained a head injury during rehearsals for the live broadcast scheduled for Wednesday evening. While performing, a guitar he was playing struck his forehead forcefully, causing a cut that required immediate medical attention. Banai had to stop rehearsals to receive first aid on set before being taken for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Banai, who has been a favorite to win this season and has consistently received high scores and praise from judges and viewers alike, now faces uncertainty about his participation in the upcoming live show. According to the show's rules, each contestant is allowed to miss one dance without elimination, so if Banai needs to pause due to his injury, he may still continue competing if his health permits.

This season has already seen two contestants withdraw due to injuries: Shahar Hayun, who left early because of a leg muscle injury, and Eden Golan, who also had to quit after sustaining an injury. Banai's injury adds to the challenges faced by participants this season as they balance performance demands with physical risks.
