New Poll Shows Netanyahu Bloc Edging Ahead as Benny Gantz's Party Fails to Cross Threshold

A new poll released by Channel 13 News indicates a shift in the Israeli political landscape, with the bloc supporting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regaining a slight lead over the opposition.

If elections were held today, Gadi Eisenkot's "Yashar" party would be the largest with 21 seats, a one-seat drop from the previous poll. Netanyahu's Likud party, however, gains one seat to reach 19 mandates. The "Achva" party led by Naftali Bennett and "HaDemocratim" led by Yair Golan each secure 11 seats. Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu and the Joint List follow with 9 seats each.

Other parties polling include Yahadut HaTorah and Itamar Ben-Gvir's "Otzma Yehudit" with 8 seats apiece. Moshe Feiglin and Bezalel Smotrich's "HaTzionut HaDatit-Identity" and Aryeh Deri's Shas both receive 7 seats. Mansour Abbas's Ra'am and Ofer Winter's "Am Israel" are projected to win 5 seats each.

Notably, Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha's "HaMiluimnikim-HaKalkalit" party, which garnered 4 seats in the prior survey, falls below the electoral threshold with only 2.8% of the vote. Benny Gantz's "Blue and White" party also fails to cross the threshold, receiving just 0.9% of the vote.

The poll shows Netanyahu's bloc leading with 54 seats compared to Eisenkot's bloc with 52, while Arab parties collectively hold 14 seats. In a head-to-head comparison for prime minister, Eisenkot still leads Netanyahu 44% to 38%.

Regarding the October 7th events, 69% of respondents favor establishing a state commission of inquiry, with 65% supporting term limits for the prime minister. Additionally, 45% believe Netanyahu was warned about the impending attacks, a view held by 75% of opposition supporters compared to only 14% of coalition supporters.
