Two Detainees Suspected in Jalud Violence Released to House Arrest
A Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court ordered the release of two detainees to house arrest last night, who were suspected of violent riots in the village of Jalud. A total of three suspects were arrested, with only one remaining in custody.
The investigating unit filed an appeal to delay the execution of the release order. In a hearing held today at the Lod District Court, the appeal was rejected, and the detainees are expected to be released to house arrest.
The court noted that their mere presence at the scene during the incident was not sufficient evidence for the court to order their continued detention.
