Israeli Hate Speech Against Palestinians Surges Online
The "Sada Social" center reported monitoring 491 instances of Israeli hate speech targeting Palestinians, their supporters, and international organizations involved with the Palestinian cause during the first half of 2026. The center noted a shift in these coded messages from mere posts and texts to what it described as "field guidance tools."
According to the center's findings, the coded messages included calls for the destruction and settlement of the Gaza Strip, incitement to kill Palestinians, and targeting of journalists. The reports also indicated calls for the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and the labeling of international and UN organizations as "terrorist" entities, along with incitement against them and their staff.
The center suggested that the monitoring of these coded messages reflects a transformation of hate speech from content shared on social media platforms to messages that can be used to direct real-world actions and practices.
