Social Media Star Slams Israelis Traveling Abroad Amid Security Warnings

Influencer Li Menachem, known as 'Likush', has sharply criticized Israelis choosing vacation destinations despite official travel warnings. Speaking on Instagram stories on Wednesday, Menachem expressed disbelief at Israelis traveling to places like Sinai and Dubai, citing specific warnings issued by Israel's National Security Council (NSC).

Menachem stated she couldn't understand the "stupidity" of traveling to locations with travel advisories, particularly those with known terror activity like the United Arab Emirates, and warned against ignoring these warnings due to a lack of fear. She directly addressed those traveling, calling them "clumsy" or "idiots" in Hebrew slang. Her comments came after a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, due to an incident onboard that left two pilots injured.

Reality TV personality Rotem Revivo, from "The Race to Million," echoed Menachem's sentiment. Revivo revealed she canceled a planned trip to Dubai after her husband objected due to the travel warnings. She sarcastically suggested visiting Gaza instead, highlighting the perceived recklessness of current travel choices.

The NSC had previously issued a threat assessment ahead of the High Holidays, warning of potential attacks against Israelis and Jews abroad. The assessment specifically mentioned the UAE's exposure to terror activities and advised against travel to Egypt, including the Sinai Peninsula, clarifying that these were updates to the threat landscape rather than new travel bans.
