Influencers Criticize Israelis Flying to Dubai Amid Travel Warnings

Social media influencers Lee Menachem and Rotem Revivo have spoken out against Israelis traveling to Dubai, citing travel warnings and recent security concerns. Menachem, known as 'Likush,' expressed her disbelief that Israelis would visit destinations with travel advisories, questioning why they would 'tempt fate.' She emphasized that such travel is not essential, stating, 'It's not a life-saving drug.'

Menachem's comments came after a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Saudi Arabia, an incident currently being investigated as a potential act of terror. She addressed a follower who suggested travel might be for connecting flights or for those unable to afford direct business class tickets, reiterating that in the current sensitive period, such trips are unnecessary and not comparable to life-saving medical procedures.

Rotem Revivo, a participant in 'The Race to a Million,' shared a similar sentiment, revealing she canceled her own planned trip to Dubai due to the travel warnings. She humorously suggested a 'fun day trip to Gaza' as an alternative, implying a desire for Israelis to avoid perceived high-risk destinations.

The FlyDubai incident involved a dispute between pilots that led to a crew member activating a distress button. Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause, but a hijacking attempt has not been ruled out.
