Thousands March in Samaria to Mark Re-establishment of Northern Settlements

Over 10,000 people from across Israel participated in a march in the northern Samaria region on Sunday, marking the re-establishment of the settlements of Ganim and Kadim. The settlements were destroyed 21 years ago as part of the Disengagement Plan and were re-established about a month ago. The march, organized by the Samaria Regional Council's settlements department and community center, along with the communities of Noa, Ganim, and Kadim, proceeded from Ganim to Kadim.

A festive rally was held at the end of the route in Kadim, attended by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Settlement and National Missions Minister Orit Strock, and Knesset Member Limor Son Har Melech. The event began with a festive Hallel prayer in the new settlement of Noa and included a performance by singer Beni Landau, who hosted Shai David Gadsi.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan stated at the event, "This day is not just a correction of the past, it is first and foremost building the future. Twenty-one years ago, settlements were destroyed here, and today we are returning to rebuild all of northern Samaria." Dagan thanked the ministers for advancing the decision to return the settlements and for strengthening governance and security in the area.

The re-establishment of Ganim and Kadim is part of the "Hitachberut Plan" led by the Samaria Regional Council and the "Amana Organization," following a decision by the Israeli cabinet and government. This initiative aligns with the "Million in Samaria" plan to establish 19 new settlements in northern Samaria. The event was part of the Samaria Regional Council's Sukkot holiday activities, which hosted tens of thousands of visitors.
