Maya Bezalel Assis Moves From Kan 11 to Keshet 12 for New Daily Show
Media personality Maya Bezalel Assis, co-host of a daily morning show on Kan Gimel with reality TV alumnus Kuti Segav, is reportedly set for a significant career move. The program, which began in 2015 and has run almost continuously since, has yielded strong results.
According to a report by Eran Suissa, Bezalel Assis is expected to begin hosting a new daily program on Keshet 12 soon, potentially replacing news segments. The show is slated to launch in the coming weeks and will broadcast live from Sunday to Wednesday afternoons, focusing on current affairs with an emphasis on culture and entertainment.
Last year, a semi-annual TGI survey revealed a significant rise in listenership for Bezalel Assis and Segav, who have been a media duo for years and also appear together on Kan 11's "What You Say." Their joint program "We Started" on Radio Kan Gimel saw a 7% increase, attracting 222,000 daily listeners.
Bezalel Assis began her career behind the scenes in the entertainment industry as a researcher and producer for shows like "Yatzpan" and "The What's Related Trio." Her television breakthrough came on the "Bip" channel, where she stood out in comedy programs and even starred in her own show, "Take Me Maya." Over the years, she became a regular on television panels, hosted various shows on Channel 24, and participated in the women's season of the reality show "Gollstar." Alongside her television presence, Bezalel Assis has built a successful radio career, notably hosting morning shows on Radio "Lev HaMedina" and currently on "Kan Gimel."
