Special Education Teacher Charged with Indecent Acts Against 14-Year-Old Student

A severe indictment has been filed against a special education teacher accused of indecent acts against her 14-year-old student. The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office alleges that the teacher engaged in a series of inappropriate acts with the student throughout the school year, exploiting their dependent relationship. The relationship reportedly began with text messages and phone calls, escalating to video chats where the two engaged in sexual acts. The indictment claims the teacher requested the student touch her and sent her intimate photos.

According to the indictment, the pair met in a wooded area near the school in late January 2022, where they touched each other. Later that week, they met in a school bathroom, allegedly undressed, and the student performed a sexual act on the teacher at her request. The indictment also details meetings in a shelter, the teacher's home, and various locations around the school, involving hugging, hand-holding, and kissing.

The student, born in February 2007, was a minor at the time of the alleged offenses. The teacher's attorney, Tami Ullman, stated that her client denies the charges, attributing the five-year delay in filing the indictment to problematic investigation materials and the complainant's contradictory testimony. The Northern District Prosecutor's Office noted the acts spanned a considerable period with numerous opportunities for encounters.
