A Flydubai flight en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv transmitted emergency codes during its journey, prompting an investigation into a potential security incident. The aircraft, carrying approximately 150 passengers, initially turned back over Jordanian airspace before continuing over Saudi Arabia as it approached Ben Gurion Airport. Flight tracking data indicated the plane broadcast a general emergency code, followed by a code associated with unlawful interference, though this latter detail has not been officially confirmed by the airline or aviation authorities. The aircraft was reportedly flying at a significantly lower altitude than usual, around 15,000 feet. Israeli Air Force jets were scrambled in response to the event. The plane altered its course back towards Israel but remained over Saudi territory at the time of reporting.
