Israeli President Herzog Joins Musical Performance at Sukkot Celebration

President Isaac Herzog and his wife Michal hosted approximately 5,000 citizens at the President's Residence in Jerusalem for an open sukkah event, a yearly tradition. This year's celebration was themed "Israeli Spirit, A Journey Between Culture and Sports for a Shared Israeli Future," in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

During the event, which featured various cultural and sports activities, President Herzog spontaneously joined the musical group "The Revivo Project" in a rendition of the iconic song "Jerusalem of Gold." The performance occurred during the group's musical set, which was also broadcast as part of Kan Gimel radio's 50th-anniversary special from the President's Residence.

Attendees included a diverse group of Israelis, such as children and adults, new immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and families of fallen soldiers and reservists. Activities offered throughout the day included a performance by the dance group Mayumana and a para-basketball experience in partnership with Beit Halochem.

President Herzog remarked that the presidential sukkah is for all citizens of Israel, emphasizing the importance of diversity, mutual respect, and unity as the nation's strength. He stated, "This is the beautiful Israeli people, and this is the Israeli spirit we seek to strengthen and preserve."
