Israel Targets Hamas Leaders Abroad, Defense Minister Vows

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that Hamas leaders operating outside of Gaza are now targets, following reports of the organization's leadership relocating to other countries. Katz stated, "The IDF eliminated the commander of the northern Gaza Strip last night. Hamas leaders abroad are also in our sights. It is forbidden for any of these abhorrent murderers who were a central part of the October 7th massacre to die peacefully in their beds." He emphasized that Israel will pursue retribution against all those responsible for the atrocities committed on October 7th.

Katz's remarks came after the IDF confirmed the elimination of the northern Gaza Strip's Hamas brigade commander as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the terrorist group's capabilities and prevent future attacks. The defense minister alluded to a previous unsuccessful assassination attempt in Qatar, suggesting that Hamas leaders who evaded capture then will not be so fortunate in the future.

Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning during a visit to the Tel Nof Air Force base, stating, "There are signs that our enemies will try to attack us ahead of the elections. I am sending you a message: Do not mess with us. Our long arm will reach you anywhere, anytime." This statement underscores Israel's commitment to pursuing its enemies relentlessly, regardless of their location.
