Israel Vows to Hunt Hamas Leaders Abroad After Gaza Strike

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning to Hamas leaders operating outside the Gaza Strip, vowing that Israel's security apparatus will pursue them relentlessly. The statement followed the overnight elimination of the commander of Hamas's northern Gaza brigade, Izz al-Din al-Bik.

"The IDF eliminated the commander of the northern Gaza Strip brigade of the Hamas terror organization tonight, as part of a series of ongoing eliminations against terror leaders in Gaza," Katz stated. He emphasized that these targeted killings aim to degrade Hamas's ability to carry out terror attacks against Israeli forces, dismantle its capabilities, and hold accountable all those responsible for the atrocities committed on October 7th.

Katz explicitly stated that Israel's long arm would reach Hamas leadership abroad. "Hamas leaders abroad are also in our sights, none of these abhorrent murderers, who were a central part of the October 7th massacre, should die peacefully in their beds. This is our duty as a people and a state," he declared.

Addressing past assassination attempts on Hamas officials, the Defense Minister added, "One time they escaped due to a malfunction, but the next time will come, and they too will be sent to the depths of hell."
