Driver Rescued After Car Collision With Bus on Highway 90
Firefighters from the Galil Golan station successfully extricated a female driver who became trapped in her vehicle following a collision with a bus on Highway 90, near the Amiad junction. Three firefighting and rescue teams responded to the scene after the crash, which occurred Tuesday.
Using specialized equipment, the firefighters worked to free the trapped driver. After complex rescue operations, the woman was freed and transferred to medical personnel. Her condition is described as moderate.
"Upon arriving at the scene, we identified a road accident between a private vehicle and a bus, with the driver of the private vehicle trapped," said Reshef Shai Balhans, the incident commander for the Fire and Rescue Services. "The firefighters performed rescue operations using specialized tools, and after she was freed, she was transferred for medical treatment with a moderate condition."
The accident caused significant traffic congestion on Highway 90 southbound. The injured driver was evacuated for further medical treatment.
