Ra'anana Marks Three Years Since October 7th Attacks

The city of Ra'anana is commemorating the third anniversary of the October 7th Hamas attacks and the subsequent outbreak of the Swords of Iron War with a series of events. These include memorial initiatives, lectures, and meetings with former hostages, open to the public throughout the city.

The main central event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7th, at 8:00 PM in the Yad Le'Banim plaza. Titled "Different Stories, One Memory," the municipal ceremony will be hosted by Shira Katzenelbogen and feature a musical performance by Or Amrani Brockman, accompanied by musicians from the Ra'anana Music Center. The ceremony will be attended by the Mayor and representatives of bereaved families, who will deliver remarks.

The focus of the ceremony will be on the personal stories, dreams, loves, and values of the 26 residents of Ra'anana who were killed on October 7th or during the Swords of Iron War. These individual narratives will collectively represent the story of Ra'anana as a community and a city. Admission to this event is free.

Additionally, starting at 9:15 PM, the Ra'anana Music and Arts Center will screen the national memorial ceremony organized by the Qommou movement and families of October 7th victims. This national ceremony, hosted by Eli Sharabi and Shani Cohen, will take place in Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park. Admission to the screening at the Ra'anana venue is also free.
