Nesher City to Mark Three Years Since October 7th Attacks

The municipality of Nesher will commemorate the third anniversary of the October 7th Hamas attacks and the subsequent outbreak of the Swords of Iron War with a series of community remembrance events. These events are scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026.

The day's commemorations will begin at 11:00 AM at the "Mishkela" Center with a special testimony session featuring Golan Avitbol, a resident of Kibbutz Be'eri. Avitbol will share his personal account of survival, loss, and resilience following the attack on his kibbutz.

The main memorial event will take place in the evening at Eshkol Pais, under the theme "Between Song and Story, Between Pain and Hope." This gathering will commence at 7:30 PM, with the official ceremony starting at 8:00 PM, hosted by Dan Shapira. The evening will include testimonies, poetry, and memorial segments featuring artists Yoni Amber, Hila Harari, Leila Malkos, Omri Rotbard, and the ensemble "The Friends of Rani," with musical direction by Yehuda Hager.

Admission to both events is free and open to the public. The Nesher Municipality has encouraged residents to attend, participate in the community's remembrance circles, honor the fallen and murdered, and unite in community strength and hope.
