18 Injured in 8-Car Pileup on Highway 6 Near Wadi Ara

Eighteen people were injured on Tuesday in a multi-vehicle collision involving eight cars on Highway 6, in the section between the Ein Tut and Wadi Ara junctions. The accident temporarily closed the northbound lanes, causing significant traffic jams.

Police forces arrived at the scene to manage traffic and deal with the aftermath of the crash. Magen David Adom reported that ten of the injured were transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera with minor injuries. Another eight individuals also sustained minor injuries and received treatment. All individuals whose conditions were detailed suffered only minor injuries, with no reports of serious cases.

Following the incident, police reopened two of the three northbound lanes on Highway 6. Despite the partial reopening, severe traffic congestion persisted in the area. Police urged drivers to exercise patience and follow the instructions of officers directing traffic.

Authorities continued to work at the scene to regulate traffic flow and clear the remaining debris. The traffic disruption continued due to the extensive backups caused by the eight-car collision. Police advised drivers to be mindful of the ongoing delays and adhere to their directives until traffic fully normalizes on the northbound highway.
