Driver Arrested for Fourth Time for Drug-Impaired Driving

Traffic police in Nazareth arrested a 22-year-old resident of Yafia on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. According to police, this is the fourth time the driver has been caught committing this offense. The driver was detained for investigation at the Nazareth station, after which he was jailed. The police also held a hearing to suspend his vehicle.

The suspect has a history of traffic violations, with over 30 previous offenses, and has also received a suspended sentence of two months. He was brought before the Nazareth Traffic Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

During a broader enforcement operation conducted by the Nazareth station in cooperation with large forces from the Northern Border Police, over 40 traffic tickets were issued. Additionally, three vehicles were impounded for 30 days, and drivers' licenses were suspended for offenses including driving without a license, driving under the influence of drugs, and refusing a drug test. Approximately 10 vehicles were removed from the road, and 14 tickets were issued to cyclists and motorcyclists.
