Netanyahu Condemns Settler Violence Against Security Forces in Samaria

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned overnight riots in Samaria and attacks on security forces who responded to maintain order. "A small group of rioters does not represent the law-abiding settler population of Judea and Samaria, causes them immense damage, and hinders our forces from carrying out their tasks," Netanyahu stated. He expressed support for IDF soldiers and Border Police officers operating in Judea and Samaria and urged law enforcement to "apply the full severity of the law" to those involved in the disturbances.

Netanyahu's statement followed events in the village of Jalud, where the IDF reported over 100 Israeli rioters blocked roads, set tires ablaze, threw stones at security forces, and torched Palestinian structures, vehicles, and other property. Three Border Police officers sustained light injuries, and two suspects were apprehended. Palestinian sources also reported earlier incidents of vehicle arson and attacks in Al-Mughayyir and other locations near Ramallah.
