Jerusalem Municipality Dismantles Prayer Booth in Yemin Moshe Neighborhood
Jerusalem municipality inspectors dismantled a prayer booth erected for the "Hinouka" Hassidic group in the Yemin Moshe neighborhood. The booth had been used daily for prayers and study sessions attended by hundreds of people.
Following the dismantling, prayers and study sessions were relocated to a nearby "Beit Samuel" booth. The municipality stated that the construction of a sukkah in Yemin Moshe was not approved for the current Sukkot holiday.
The "Hinouka" Hassidic sect is known for its followers who adhere to the teachings of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, often referred to as "The Yanuka" (The Young One). The group is associated with Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh.
