Jerusalem Light Rail Disrupted by Damaged Power Cable
Jerusalem's light rail experienced significant disruptions on Monday due to a damaged power cable near "Gan HaMifletzet" park. The malfunction affected the Red Line (L1), which connects Neve Ya'akov in the north to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in the southwest. Consequently, train services on the southwestern section of the line have been temporarily suspended.
Currently, trams are operating only between the Neve Ya'akov Tzafon and Kikar Dania stations. Repair crews are on-site working to restore full service as quickly as possible. The exact time for the complete resumption of operations has not yet been announced. Service will recommence once the damaged cable has been repaired.
