West Bank Tunnel Shaft Suspects' Detention Extended
A military court in Samaria extended the detention of two Palestinians by eight days, until October 4. They are suspected of possessing weapons, preparing to commit an act of terror, and digging a tunnel or passage for criminal purposes or escape in Qalqilya.
The suspects were arrested last week during an operation in the city. During the operation, police claimed a 25-meter-deep tunnel was discovered. The IDF, however, stated that two shafts approximately 12 meters deep were found, but no tunnel route was identified.
Separately, the detention of two Israeli suspects arrested during the same operation was extended until tomorrow, Thursday.
