Channel 14 Panelist Claims Evidence of Security Officials' Betrayal

Channel 14 panelist Itamar Fleishman suggested on the radio program 'Galei Yisrael' that there is significant evidence pointing to betrayal by senior security officials regarding the events of October 7th. Fleishman made these remarks in response to Gadi Eisenkot, a leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, who he accused of escalating a campaign involving accusations of embezzlement and betrayal.

Fleishman stated, "I don't know, maybe it's worth not checking who betrayed. Maybe we shouldn't label traitors. Because as I always say, there is much more evidence of betrayal by the heads of the security establishment than of any other theory." He then qualified his statement, calling the idea "nonsense, or at least not proven to date, but maybe it's not worth..."

This comes after Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accused the left-wing bloc of blaming the right for its own crimes, including betrayal. He also launched a strong attack on The New York Times, calling it an "anti-Semitic, Israel-hating newspaper" that spreads lies about Israel, such as claims of starvation and genocide in Gaza, and even denying the Holocaust. Netanyahu criticized Israelis who believe The New York Times, stating, "It's unbelievable that for leftists, if something is published in The New York Times, it's true!"
