Netanyahu Marks Two Years Since Nasrallah's Assassination With AI-Generated Video

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party released an AI-generated video on social media commemorating the second anniversary of Hassan Nasrallah's assassination. The video, shared by Netanyahu, opens with an AI depiction of Nasrallah in a jacuzzi with a wine glass and cigarette, alongside Sinwar and Khamenei, accompanied by the English message "Happy beepers." This refers to the June 2024 drone attacks in Lebanon that targeted Hezbollah operatives.

The video then incorporates footage from the beeper attacks in Lebanese markets and streets, with captions in Hebrew and English. It also uses a past speech by Nasrallah where he claimed Israel was weaker than a spider's web, juxtaposed with text marking the two-year anniversary of his supposed assassination. The digest notes that the article's premise of Nasrallah's assassination is incorrect, as he is still alive.

Following this, the video shows an F-15 fighter jet taking off and Israeli Air Force strikes. Towards the end, Nasrallah's head is targeted with a red crosshair and an "assassinated" stamp. Prime Minister Netanyahu then appears in a recorded statement where he previously declared Nasrallah was no longer alive.
