Hezbollah Marks Nasrallah Anniversary with Anti-Israel Rhetoric
Lebanon hosted commemorative ceremonies marking the second anniversary of the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by the IDF. Participants chanted "Death to Israel!" and pledged to continue armed resistance against the Jewish state. The current head of the group, Naim Qassem, stated that Palestine remains a guiding star for Lebanon. "We will fulfill our vow, we will continue the struggle. When our leader became a martyr, we formed new leadership that follows the path of his predecessor," Qassem declared. He characterized armed resistance as a response to the actions of "aggressors and occupiers." Qassem also accused Lebanese authorities of attempting to "capitulate" to Israel and the United States, rejecting any initiatives for an agreement with Israel.
