Israel's Foreign Ministry Monitors Ethiopia Escalation, Aiding Citizens
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that it is leading "feverish efforts" to monitor the situation of Israelis in northern Ethiopia, where a security escalation has occurred. The ministry, in coordination with the Bureau of Israelis Abroad, the Situation Room, and the Israeli Embassy in Addis Ababa, is in contact with relevant groups and authorities.
"We are continuously examining exit options from the area in cooperation with local factors and in accordance with developments and security conditions on the ground," a statement from the ministry read. The ministry is actively engaged in ensuring the safety and potential evacuation of Israeli citizens caught in the escalating conflict.
