Rare Photos Capture Top Rabbis at Slabodka Yeshiva During Sukkot
Photographer Shuki Lerer captured a rare and uplifting collection of images during the morning prayers on the intermediate days of Sukkot at the esteemed Slabodka Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. The photographs feature prominent "Gedolei HaDor" (leading figures of the generation) alongside the yeshiva's rabbis engaged in the "Avodat HaNeanuyim" (the ritual waving of the Four Species during prayer).
The "Gedolei HaDor" present included Rabbi Dov Landau and Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, both heads of the yeshiva. The images also depict the rabbis during the reading of the Torah portion for the holiday.
The collection offers a unique glimpse into the spiritual atmosphere and the reverence surrounding these prominent rabbinical figures during a significant Jewish holiday.
