MK Sukkot Slams Former AG Over E1 Construction Stance

Member of Knesset Zvi Sukkot has sharply criticized former Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, whom he referred to as "the ousted Attorney General," regarding her position on construction tenders in the E1 area. Sukkot stated that Baharav-Miara is taking another "trampling step" to prevent the implementation of government decisions.

Sukkot asserted that there is a broad Israeli consensus on building in E1, but accused Baharav-Miara of actively promoting an "Arab terror state in the heart of the country" and preserving Arab contiguity in the E1 region. He further claimed this is another reason she should be removed from her position as quickly as possible, face trial for alleged crimes committed over the years, and pay a heavy price, linking this to the upcoming elections.

The E1 area is a strategically sensitive location east of Jerusalem, where Israeli construction has been a point of contention with Palestinians and the international community.
