Police Recover Stolen Motorcycle Belonging to Reservist Soldier

An investigation initiated by a reservist soldier's report of his stolen dirt bike, taken while he was on duty, has led to the dismantling of a motorcycle theft ring. During a police and Border Police raid in the village of Anata, seven suspected stolen motorcycles, valued at approximately 400,000 shekels, were recovered. Among the seized vehicles was the soldier's own motorcycle.

The operation began after the reservist filed a complaint that his off-road motorcycle was stolen during his reserve service. Detectives from the Binyamin station in the Judea and Samaria district launched a covert investigation, suspecting a group was stealing motorcycles, transporting them to the West Bank, and selling them.

During the recent holiday, Border Police and Binyamin station officers, guided by intelligence, raided a compound in Anata, located within the Benjamin Brigade's sector. The search yielded seven motorcycles believed to be stolen, with a combined estimated value of 400,000 shekels. The stolen motorcycle belonging to the reservist was identified among them.

According to the police investigation, the suspects allegedly stole motorcycles, transferred them to the West Bank, altered their identification numbers and frames, and then sold them. Two suspects, a resident of the Shuafat refugee camp and a resident of Anata, both in their 20s, were arrested and taken for further questioning at the Binyamin station.
