Senior Rabbi David Drukman Tours Judean Desert Outpost, Expresses Awe

Rabbi David Meir Drukman, a prominent figure within the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement and the chief rabbi of Kiryat Motzkin, conducted a special tour of an outpost in the Judean Desert.

During his visit, Rabbi Drukman was briefed on the activities and recent developments at the site. He remarked on the difference between hearing about events and witnessing them firsthand, drawing a parallel to the biblical story of Moses breaking the tablets after seeing the Golden Calf incident. "Hearing is not like seeing," Rabbi Drukman stated, adding that the principle applies even more strongly to positive developments.

"We constantly hear about new settlements, outposts, farms, and the conquest of the Land of Israel, but I must tell you: I haven't been here for several years, and I am truly speechless at everything that is happening here," he said, expressing his astonishment at the progress.

Following his tour and impressed by what he saw, Rabbi Drukman urged the public to visit the outpost during the intermediate days of the Passover holiday (Chol HaMoed). He noted that planned activities during this period aim to attract wider audiences and connect Jews to the land of Israel.
