Toddler Suffers Moderate Burns After Hot Coffee Spill in Jerusalem

A two-year-old girl sustained moderate burns to her upper body after hot coffee was spilled on her at her home in Jerusalem on Saturday morning. Emergency medical responders from United Hatzalah were dispatched to the scene and provided initial life-saving treatment to the child.

The toddler was then transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center for further care. Medical personnel at the scene worked to cool the affected areas and stabilize her condition before the transport.

According to United Hatzalah Jerusalem District spokesperson, the call came into the organization's dispatch center on Saturday morning. "The family told us that a cup of hot coffee spilled on her, causing burns to her upper body," said Yoni Elzra, a United Hatzalah paramedic and ambulance driver. "I provided her with initial medical assistance and then evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Hospital, where her condition is defined as moderate."
