The Mothers Release New Single "Adon HaNiflaot" with Modern Prayer Melody

The Israeli musical trio The Mothers, comprised of singers and creators Sharon Rotter, Shiri Hadar, and Noa Gino, have released a new single titled "Adon HaNiflaot" (Master of Wonders). This track is another preview from their upcoming album.

The song features an upbeat, new melody set to lyrics drawn from the "Yotzer Or" (Creator of Light) blessing found in the morning prayer service (Shacharit). The chosen verses include phrases like "He performs mighty deeds, makes new things, wages wars, sows righteousness, causes salvation, creates healing, is awesome in praises, Master of Wonders."

The group explained their choice of text from the prayer is connected to the concept of new beginnings. They described the feeling of embarking on something new despite fear, overcoming it, and experiencing transformation, linking this to the prayer's verse "Who in His goodness renews the work of creation every day."

"Adon HaNiflaot" aims to connect this contemporary idea of facing challenges and achieving change with the ancient words of the prayer, offering a fresh interpretation of traditional liturgy.
