Singer Yishai Dror Releases Emotional New Single 'Tefilat HaBaním'
Singer Yishai Dror has released a new, emotional single titled 'Tefilat HaBaním' (The Sons' Prayer). The song, composed by Yaakov Cohen, is described as a profound musical experience that blends a father's prayer with a rich soundscape. Dror was deeply moved by the melody when he first heard it during a wedding ceremony where he was performing. The bride's brothers had commissioned a special song, and Dror felt an immediate connection, knowing he wanted to record and share it.
Dror enlisted David Ichilovich to produce and arrange the song, aiming for a production that matched its emotional depth. Ichilovich, who also handled keyboards and programming, created a musical arrangement that has been met with enthusiastic responses. The lyrics, from the 'Project of the Heart' written by Chagit Simcha Ben Tzvi, convey a heartfelt paternal prayer filled with unconditional love and hope for children's futures.
The song features a talented team of musicians, including Uriel Weinberger on flute, Amiram Aaron on drums, Ariel Aaron on guitars, and Avi Yifrach on bass. Dror and Ichilovich recorded background vocals at David Ichilovich Studios, while child soloist Joseph Freue recorded his part at Chase Kaplan Studios. Ronen Hillel mixed and mastered the track, and SafdieMG designed the single's artwork. Yishai Dror specifically thanked Shmuel Dror and Chase Kaplan for their contributions.
'Tefilat HaBaním' is presented as a unique musical offering during a period of new song releases, focusing on personal prayer, family bonds, and parental love. The song aims to resonate with listeners by highlighting the importance of prayer and connection with children.
