Likud Slams 'Lies' by 'Mobilized Left-Wing Journalists' on Pre-Oct 7 Warnings

The Likud party has responded to investigative reports by The Atlantic and The New York Times, which claimed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was warned about the October 7th Hamas attack prior to it occurring. A statement from the party asserted that as elections approach, there is a "flood of false publications by mobilized left-wing journalists" aiming to "overthrow the right and crown a Muslim Brotherhood left-wing government that will surrender on all fronts."

The New York Times reiterated claims that UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed had warned Netanyahu. The Prime Minister's office specifically addressed allegations in The Atlantic, calling them "false claims that have been previously denied." Egypt officially denied warning Israel about the impending attack on October 11, 2023.
