Residents from several Arab towns in the Galilee gathered at the Ein Natuf spring in the Batoof plain on Friday to prevent what they described as settler attempts to seize the site and rename it "Ma'ayan Ha'hayim." Despite difficult access, dozens of individuals from Arraba, Sakhnin, Deir Hanna, and I'labun made their way to the spring.
Upon arrival, the residents reported encountering settlers swimming in the pool. They stated that while they do not object to people visiting the spring, they strongly oppose any attempts at appropriation. The gathering aimed to assert local control over the natural site, which has become a point of contention.
