Joint List Leader Warns of ' Judaization' Plans in Galilee

Yousef Jabareen, head of the Joint List party, has warned that plans to "Judaize" the Galilee and Negev regions are becoming a tangible reality. Speaking at a protest against a new settlement outpost established on land belonging to residents of Majd al-Krum in the "Al-Ross" area, Jabareen emphasized the need for broad popular unity to confront this scheme.

Jabareen stated that the transfer of settlement outpost models from the West Bank to the Galilee and Negev poses a direct threat to Arab towns, aiming to confiscate more land and sever geographical connections between them. He described the struggle as being "over our existence, our Arab towns' right to develop and expand, and to prevent attempts to confiscate our land, change the demographic makeup, and cut off geographical connections."

The protest saw participation from a delegation of the Joint List, including MK Ofer Cassif, candidates Faten Ghattas, Bakr Awadeh, and Iyas Nattour. Also present were the head of the local council, Salim Salibi, council members, the popular committee, landowners, and residents of Majd al-Krum.

Participants affirmed that the demonstration sends a clear message of rejection to the settlement plan and reflects unified popular and political resolve. Jabareen stressed that this is a critical test and that the popular movement in Majd al-Krum demonstrates the residents' will to defend their land and rights, vowing to continue the protests to prevent the plan from becoming a fait accompli. He concluded that confronting these projects is not an option but a duty, asserting that unity is their strongest weapon.
