Man Who Fell to His Death at Madison Square Garden Identified as Father of Two

Police and family have identified the 51-year-old man who died after falling during a Goose concert at Madison Square Garden in New York as Paul Kueker, a father of two and a green energy industry manager. He had come to the show on Saturday night to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife.

Kueker’s mother told the New York Post that his wife did not witness the fall. She became worried after 10 to 15 minutes when he did not return from the bathroom. Police at the venue located her in the arena and informed her of what had happened.

Kueker’s employer, SmartCon Solutions, said it was “heartbroken” by his sudden death and described him as an outstanding person and valued team member. The band Goose, which continued with the concert after the incident, also said it was saddened and heartbroken, offered condolences to everyone affected, and thanked emergency crews and arena staff for their response.

According to the New York Police Department, the incident happened at 9:51 p.m. on Saturday, when the man fell from an “elevated position” during the concert. He was taken quickly to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials did not disclose the height of the fall, and police have opened an investigation into the circumstances.
