New Documentary "Paging Hezbollah" Features Netanyahu, Former Mossad Chief

A new documentary titled "Paging Hezbollah," directed by Justin Pollack, will offer a first look at the "beeper bombing" operation against the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The film features interviews with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Mossad chief Dedi Barnea, alongside other prominent figures.

The documentary, set to premiere in cinemas on October 30, explores how Israel managed to penetrate Hezbollah's sensitive and secret networks. According to Pollack, the film provides an "inside" perspective from those directly involved in the operation, describing it as more fascinating than imaginable and a rare opportunity to document a historical intelligence operation with such access.

A teaser released for the film includes Netanyahu describing the operation as "a handful of TNT that changed the world." Other notable interviewees include former CIA Director David Petraeus, former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren, former U.S. intelligence official Matthew Levitt, former National Security Advisor Yaakov Nagel, and former senior Israeli intelligence official Sarit Zehavi.

"Paging Hezbollah" details Israel's strategy of infiltrating Hezbollah's communication network through device engineering and supply chain manipulation. The film highlights how the operation, which involved years of planning and deception, was not a spontaneous attack but a meticulously executed intelligence effort. It will also trace the design, marketing, and smuggling of the devices before Hezbollah realized what had happened.
