Maccabi Haifa has decided that Peter Agaba is not part of its professional plans and is trying to find him a new club in Israel or abroad. The club wants to free up a foreign-player slot, and Agaba’s representatives are also searching for possible destinations.
Inside the team, the final choice for the defensive midfield roles, positions 6 and 8, is Ali Mohamed, Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay and Navot Ratner, with Cedric Doumbé available if needed. Because of that, Haifa no longer sees a need for Agaba. The club hopes to sell him, but if the offers are too low, it may loan him out with a purchase option.
At the same time, Haifa is in advanced talks with Surinamese defender Radinio Balker, who plays in England’s third division. Balker previously suffered a serious injury, but returned to action last season with his British club.
Haifa is close to an agreement with Balker, and talks are also ongoing with his club. The team believes there is a strong chance he will join, and the coaching staff wants the deal completed before the training camp begins. Balker has already been in Israel to assess the possibility and now needs to give Maccabi Haifa its answer.
