Grieving Father Slams UN Walkout During Netanyahu's Speech

A mass boycott by representatives of numerous countries during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the UN General Assembly on Thursday has sparked widespread anger. Hagi Loiber, whose son Yonatan was killed in combat in the Gaza Strip, posted a scathing critique, asserting that the foreign diplomats' action was not solely against the prime minister but against Israel's very existence and right to self-defense.

Loiber stated, "It is not him they are boycotting. They are boycotting you, your basic right to rejoice, to love, to exist. They are boycotting your struggle to live in a world free of dangers, your children's right to grow up in peace and security."

He accused the delegates who walked out of emboldening terrorism and hatred. "They are boycotting your right to defend yourselves, your duty to fight those who wish for your death. By their boycott, by their exit from the hall, they encourage an attempted genocide, and crudely prevent good from defeating evil, trying in their hatred to erase all that is Jewish, Israeli, and human."

Loiber also pointed a finger at domestic critics, stating, "And it is unbelievable that people from within our midst, in their blindness and foolishness, rejoice in his misfortune and actually in their own misfortune. They applaud his hatred, their hatred, and rejoice in his humiliation, their humiliation. And they refuse to understand: it is not him they are boycotting, but them."
