The mood in the locker room was reportedly tense, with loud shouting heard after the game. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis told his players, "We cannot perform like this." The team's management expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance, which also faltered in the Super Cup loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv and in some preseason games, demanding an improvement. Team owner Ofer Yanai and chairman Stav Shacham were present at the game.

American player Elijah Bryant drew significant criticism for his performance, scoring 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting with three assists and two turnovers.
