Hapoel Tel Aviv Coach Laments Missed Chances in EuroLeague Opener Loss

Hapoel Tel Aviv suffered an 86-84 defeat to Bayern Munich in their EuroLeague season opener on Thursday, despite a remarkable comeback. Hapoel's coach, Dimitris Itoudis, acknowledged the team's strong defensive effort and resilience in their comeback. "The good part is that we came back, in basketball it's never too late," Itoudis stated, highlighting the team's improved play during the rally.

Despite the positive aspects of their comeback, Itoudis expressed frustration with his team's performance, particularly their inability to capitalize on opportunities. "We were aggressive, we got stops and came back into the game, but we made it easy for Bayern," he admitted. "It's the opening round, and it's a loss we'll have to deal with now."
