Hasidic Community Marks End of Holiday and Honors Rebbe of Lelov

The Hasidic community of Lelov concluded its Sukkot holiday celebrations with a special gathering to commemorate the yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of Rabbi Mordechai Menachem Mendel Kalish, the Rebbe of Lelov, who passed away on the 13th of Tishrei in 5727 (1966). The event, held in the Lelov Hasidic court, brought together followers to honor the memory and teachings of their revered leader.

The yahrzeit is observed annually on the 13th of Tishrei, a date that falls shortly after the conclusion of the Sukkot festival. This year, the commemoration took place on September 24, 2026, coinciding with the end of the holiday period. The gathering served as an opportunity for adherents to reflect on the Rebbe's spiritual legacy and strengthen their communal bonds.
